They are thin but warm, fabric is very soft and doesn't make noise when you move (I read complaints about this from other comforter's reviews). Until now, I'm used to cotton duvet comforters from Germany, but I love my new wool ones. I bought 2 twins for my dh and me. My only complaint is that you can't wash them only spot clean. My kids are old enough not to mess them up, but they've always come to my bed at night. When they were babies, they slept in our bed and many times the diaper would leak, making sheets, pillows, and sometimes soaking the comforters. My twin comforters made of cotton from Germany are easily washed. These cannot, so this kind of comforter would have been out of question for us a few years ago. So these are not for co-sleeping mamas.
